Leather SMALL OF THE BACK (SOB) Holster

1st small of the back holster for me. I was hesitant to try one but I am sure glad I did. I’m more slim and don’t wear any type baggy clothing, I find this location actually easy faster to draw and re-holster over other styles I have. But the best thing I like about it is it’s totally out of the way of doing everyday activities. Nothing to bump or be in the way. The quality is top notch. Very satisfied.

I bought this for my springfield armory operator 5inch bbl. It works great with the light rail on the gun. After a few hours in the holster it has already shaped perfectly to my gun and draws easily one handed. My technique on re-holstering needs some work though (not the holsters fault, just new to back holstering). No complaints here, hides the gun well. How well it hides the gun will also depend on your body type though.

This holster holds my gun in tight so it conceals very well. Can easily be shifted from 6 to 4. Good quality leather. Very happy with the holster.

I've always been leery about buying a SOB holster online. Luckily JBP holster was at a gunshow in Fredericksburg, VA. The seller showed me the holster with a 1911 as the model. I have a ParaOrdnance P14. Same slide but thicker grip due to the off-center-line stack magazine...so I was a little concerned, but the price was right and I bought it (less than the $59 here an no shipping). Turns out my concerns were ill-founded. Molded perfectly to the P-14. Really secure fit. Hides well under my motorcycle vest, draws easily, and I have no concerns when I ride. Great product. I've told my brother about it, sent him the link. He should have come with me to the gunshow and saved some money. But even without the gunshow discount, this product is worth every penny asked. Oh, the holster can be rigged for strong side hip carry as well. This can be done without modification; just run the belt through the other slots already on the holster. So you get two holsters for the price of one. Not bad huh?

Excellent holster and one that I wear for over 12 hours a day with complete comfort. One thing I did notice, on very warm days being under a shirt the holster can trap moisture which collects on the pistol and could cause slipping or rust.

All my belts are 1 3/4 inch wide x 1/4 inch thick and made by well know manufactures like Bianchi, The Belt Maker, Bull hide Belts, Galco, Acker, Boston Leather Co. Etc. The web site stated it would fit a 1 3/4 inch belt. Not one of my belts would feed into the holsters belt loops. I had to wet the holster with hot water around the belt loops. Then take a pair of channel locks to pull the belts through with a small piece of 8 ounce leather to keep the channel locks from marking up my belts. After a solid hour of working the belt loops I was finally able to get the holster to work properly. I could find nothing at all wrong with the holster. It stood up well to the abuse I subjected it to in making it fit. I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised with the quality verses price. One of the few that really offer a good product for a reasonable price. Great stitching, dyeing and finish. I will be purchasing more models from their site. Thanks, J. Mullen.

This holster is exactly as the listing describes! It's very well made! My only complaint is that I need to be wearing a heavy jacket so that this holster is not noticable. In an every day shirt, or light jacket the holster is very obvious.

Fits my 1911 like a glove I wear it at the 4o'clock position easy access and very comfortable to wear
